Bison Ragu
Ingredients
2-3 lbs bone in bison short ribs
1 cup diced onion
1 cup diced carrot
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 cup diced celery
2 Tablespoons dried Oregano
1 cup diced tomatoes
Serve with pasta of choice!
Instant Pot Directions
Add everything but the bison to your Instant Pot liner and stir to combine.
Place the bison short ribs on top of the mixture.
Secure the lid on your Instant Pot and set it to sealing.
Set the Instant Pot to 50 minutes, high pressure.
Allow the pot to naturally depressurize for 10 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
Using tongs, remove the ribs from the pot and use a fork to shred the meat.
Add the meat back into the pot.
Serve on top of pasta of choice!
Slow Cooker Directions
Add everything but the bison to your slow cooker and stir to combine.
Place the bison short ribs on top of the mixture.
Secure the lid on your slow cooker.
Set your slow cooker to 8 hours on high.
Using tongs, remove the ribs from the pot and use a fork to shred the meat.
Add the meat back into the sauce.
Serve on top of pasta of choice!
